Kashmir Acacia Monofloral honey  has a distinctive flavour or other attribute due to its being predominantly from the nectar of a single plant species. It is harvested,  stored and labelled separately. While there may never be an absolute Monofloral type, some honeys are relatively pure due to the prodigious nectar production of a particular species.

Pseudo Acacia, -(Kashmir Acacia), is sourced ethically from an altitude of over 8000 feet from pristine Himalayan ranges of the Kashmir Valley. Harvesting from the beehives of the Apis Mellifera species is done during the months of May and June of the year for a limited period.

This honey with the most pleasant aroma, velvety in texture, is Amber in colour and predominantly contains the nectar of the Acacia tree found in Kashmir Valley, India. We being the natives of Kashmir Valley, having our base at Srinagar, source the Honey through ethical means to ensure the quality and authenticity of product. A highly demanded variety, Acacia (Locally called Kikar) honey can range in colour from almost transparent to noticeably yellow.

Acacia honey is easily absorbed by the body, and since it is richer in fruit sugars than other kinds of honey, it has a low glycaemic index and is a good sweetener for those with mild diabetes. It has strong antiseptic effects and is frequently used to treat coughs and purify the liver and is often referred to as a natural antibiotic. The Acacia tree is found in many parts of the Kashmir, India.  Acacia twigs are frequently chewed as a natural toothbrush, and the gum of this tree (known as gum Arabic) has been used for over 5,000 years in the manufacture of medicines and dyes.
